Le Silla

Notable features are the hidden platform, the lacing, the blunt, chunky heel, and the ankle-grazing height...

They are my new babies! After months of waiting and searching wildly - I missed on an other beautiful oxfords from Vivienne Westwood. The sumptuous embossed leather and oxford details... there weren't much not to love about this bootie. Indeed! I adore those oxfords from Le Silla. Finally, I purchased them from eBay and I’m madly happy.

I have never see before these... but remind me of those Chloe Silverado booties from F/W 07 collection...
What do you think?

Juhos

I
virtual met Istvan Bergmann...if you want my second interview with a Hungarian shoe designer then let us start it.

Tudom, hogy a tradíció fontos szerepet játszik a cég működésében, mivel ez már a negyedik generáció aki tovább viszi a Juhos nevet. Mindig szeretted a cipőket?

Since yours is the fourth generation that takes on the name "Juhos", it’s obvious that tradition plays a major part in the operation of the company. Have you always loved shoes?

BI: Mine is the fourth generation indeed... my great-grandpa established the company in Óbuda, in 1910. Then the heritage passed to my grandpa and then my mother. Nowadays, we operate the company together. I haven’t been interested in shoes when I was a child, but after entering the Simon Ferenc Secondary School, my interest towards them has grown.

Mondj három dolgot ami a tökéletes cipőről árulkodik?

Tell me three things that define perfect shoes.

BI -Kényelem

-Kényelem

-Kényelem

BI - Comfort

- Comfort

- Comfort

-Tökéletesen kiegészítse a ruházatát...

Okay, seriously.

- Primarily, you need to be comfortable in them, like they are the perfect fit.

- It’s important that it fits your personality and style. You could wear the most beautiful and expensive shoes, if they don’t fit you, that just won’t work.

- They need to complement your clothing. It would be too much to say that shoes are the most important part; however, they count just like a bag, a belt or gloves that match your clothes.

Ki a kedvenc nemzetközi cipőterveződ?

Who is your favourite shoe designer?

BI: I haven’t thought about that yet! All the designers have some beautiful models. You can take inspiration from the designs of all designers. I like the shoes of Miu Miu, Ralph Lauren, Vivienne Westwood and much more.

Which shoes are your favourite from your current collection and why?

BI: Obviously, I love and am really proud of all of them, but if I had to choose one, I would say, I love the black-middle gray-light gray ankle boots (because of their colors) and the pointed toe, high-heeled, lace-up khaki boots the most.

Melyik cipőt ajánlanád a kollekciótokból a gazdasági válság idején?

Which shoes from your collection would you recommend in times of the economical downturn?

BI: Whichever of our shoes our customers like. Since they are made with leather uppers, lining and soles, they are long-lasting as opposed to some of the seasonal pieces in shops. I would rather say, you need to order shoes that match most of your clothes. A pair of black boots, for example, that is fashionable in its form, cut and heels not in its color.

Prints

See these prints from my visual angle...

plaid/tartan - Over the past four or five years, plaid has consistently been on everyone’s lists of fall and winter fashion trends. You really can’t go wrong with one of these in your wardrobe. So traditonally and cozy for every time... If you are a bold person let it pair with floral things!
designers: Vivienne Westwood, Ralph Lauren, L.A.M.B., Jean Paul Gaultier

floral - The florals will always evoke femininity, in black and white or in vibrant technicolor. It almost always becomes a trend during the Spring-Summer season and this year it was the hottest trend. Don't consider it...granny. Many opportunities reside in the flowery prints. The fashion designers continually reinterpret the floral. That's true at most fashion houses exception the compulsive minimalists. If you listen to me don't put your floral pieces in the bottom of wardrobe in colder seasons.
Sok lehetőség rejlik a virágos nyomatokban. A divattervezők előszeretettel újraértelmezik. Ez igaz a legtöbb divatházra kivételt képeznek a megrögzött a minimalisták. Ha rám hallgatsz, ne rejtsd el szem elől a virágos darabjaidat a szekrényed aljába a hidegebb évszakokban sem.

polka dots - Polka dots things can be fun and flirty. The tiny dots the classic effect is served. It gains especially wide space at the stockings in this year. If you prefer something a little bolder, choose the bigger version of dots. The bigger the pattern, the bigger a statement you will be making.
Designers: Moschino, Miu Miu
pöttyös - Mókások és "flörtölősök". Az apróbb verzió inkább a klasszikus stílust szolgálja. Ebben az évben nagy népszerűségnek örvend a harisnyáknál. Ha te a bátor lányok közé tartozol, akkor a nagyobb pöttyökkel is kisérletezhetsz.
Tervezők: Moschino, Miu Miu

stripe - Delicate horizontal stripes smack of the nautical trend, whilst vertical pinstripes are the domain of the office. The classic sailor-style requires a striped top (so Coco) and when paired with classy pants, you can never go wrong. However, chunky, ferocious looking stripes are having a fashion moment. The big benefit of vertical stripes give an elongated look to your body. Diagonal stripes have the same effect.
Some fashion house uses this print with predilection: Chanel, Sonia Rykiel, Missoni...
Mindazonáltal a nagyobb csíkokat se hagyd figyelmen kívül.

zig zag - The zig zag print mixes and matches well with casual colour. This a wonderful way to add a little sophistication to any outfit!
Great representative of zig zag is Missoni, of course.
cikk-cakk - Ez a minta remekül alkalmazkodik a klasszikus színekhez. Bármilyen öltözéknek megadja a "finomságát".
Nagy képviselője Missoni, természetesen.

houndstooth - Houndstooth never goes out of fashion. This special plaid pattern is most commonly found in black and white, but can also look really chic and modern in color. That will become a classic in your closet.
Its current fan though - Alexander McQueen
tyúkláb - Ez az ami szintén sosem megy ki a divatból - speciális formája a kockásnak, ami leginkább fekete-fehér, de jól működik más színösszeállításban is. Igazi klasszikus.
Az aktuális rajongója pedig - Alexander McQueen

op-art (optical art) - Fashion Designers picked up these art trends and modified them for use in their clothing designs in 1964. Courreges was influenced by the Op-art movement, that is not the "pop art". Op art was the optical trick of contrasting areas of line and colour.
The timely of op-art followers: Eley Kishomoto, Marimekko, Pucci.

A jelenlegi op-art követők: Eley Kishomoto, Marimekko, Pucci.

animal - The animal prints got a big role for new one since the last year - Remember for example the 08 F/W of Balmain collection - but be careful with it. Don't overdo animal prints! Make a choice rather simple pieces to this for example the black pencil skirt/pants.
Designers - Cavalli, Christian Louboutin, Dolce & Gabbana...

paisley - First of all if you're not a big fan of the boho or gypsy look you have to forget the paisley print. A very popular print on all sorts of clothing and fashion accessories during the 60's. Its origin can be traced back to India. Add to any jeans/denim clothes and you may not make a mistake. Some fashion designers regularly incorporate paisley print into their leather handbags and silk clothes. For example: Anna Sui, Etro, Matthew Williamson...

If you stay on my blog or you return, then you look into an on-line event in the next five hours. I begin this with my first interview what prepared with two finalist girls.
Bizakodóan köszönöm az érdeklődéseteket.
I say thank you for your interest confidently.

Íme/
That's it:

Your website is really special, it only tells a few things about its hosts though.

"Orsi Poppre and Larisza Pasztircsak hide behind the name of Mrs Herskin."

L: This is not our completed website, only a portfolio. Mrs Herskin is the artistic self-expression for both of us. This way, I don't feel that I have to show up other parts of my personality.

O: I think you need to know that for me Mrs Herskin is not only a brand that „produces” clothes and accessories. I don't believe in these ideas anymore. We try to do our best to express our own view, our faith and our personality; our relationship to art, to people and to ourselves. What kind of means we use for this, it is all the same to me. What is important that we enjoy it and it makes sense.

Hogyan találkoztatok?
How have the two of you met?

O: I think we first met two years ago when Larisza got into our class. I didn't see too much of her in the beginning because our community in the class was already established and everyone had their own clique. Later on, our curiosity brought our relationship to a new level and we dared to open up towards each other and I think this was the beginning of a great and close friendship Larisza attracted my attention because she was different than the rest of class and this fact annoyed me enough to step over myself and find out about this girl!

L: Dettó!

L: Ditto!

Hova jártatok iskolába? Mit tanultatok?
Where did you go to school? What did you study?

L: Mindketten a Képzőművészeti Szakközépben végeztünk, mindössze 7 év különbséggel. Egyenes leszállópályával a bőrszakra. Addigra teljesen
őrültje lettem a bőrnek, nem tudom miért.

L: We both went to the Secondary School for Fine Art but with 7 years difference. Orsi specialized in leather stuff, but I specialized in books. Staying in the artistic field was not evident for me, probably because of the lack of the parental model. However, I couldn’t ignore my childhood interest and escape my fate. I entered MOME after four years of other professional experiences and I was admitted successfully to the branch of leather manufacturing. By that time, I had already become obsessed with leather, I don’t know why though.

O: We probably haven’t known each other in secondary school, because Larisza specialized in books. It was funny because I had wished I was specialized in books, too! However, it turned out differently and I went to Kati Karattur’s leather class and one week was enough for me to never wanting to leave that field anymore.

Kreációtokra leginkább a "Haute Couture" címkét használnám. Melyek a legjelentősebb ihlet forrásaitok? És a legszokatlanabb?
Your creations are very "haute couture" I would say. What are your strongest sources of inspiration? And what are the most unusual ones?

L: I don't know if haute couture is the right expression to describe our creations. We don’t want them to be mass-produced, that’s for sure. We work and are going to work with limited collections. One aspect is that we believe that mass-production takes away the soul of the product and our soul, too. We are left with the business and the joy is lost. We would not want to become boring just because we use our energy to develop complicated business strategies in order to maintain the artificial illusion of the fashion industry. On the other hand, I feel that the design concentrating on salability is not our thing. It limits us and forces us to use the “dictionary cliché”, which takes away the freedom of the individual and our self-expression. This is a new and common realization of thinking for both of us. We haven’t had the opportunity before to integrate this approach to our designing method, it only shows through our former works instinctively. And we will see how we are going to make a living of this approach. Anyway, I am pretty much interested in what hides beyond function. How can you give emotional stimuli and how can you express yourself with a product of use, let them be shoes, bags, jewelry and everything within my scope of practice. And do this without having an end in itself like “let’s double the work of Alexander McQueen”. We would like to create things that lift you to an other world by wearing them. Or something like that. This is the way that fascinates me. We are still at the beginning of that way though.

O: Neither would I label our work haute couture or anything else and I don’t even want it to be labeled anything usual or established. These are objects. If I would have to use an attribute, I would say these are absurd objects. We always take inspiration from different sources, we look for the unusual, the special, the fault, we don’t settle down by beauty. A lot of things inspire me, it would be difficult to pick only one... probably people inspire me the most. For this you only need to go about open-eyed, because god sent a lot of strange things to our country!

Mik a kedvenc anyagaitok és miért?
What are your favourite materials and why?

O: Kedvenc anyagok? Hmmm...

O: Favourite materials? Hmmm... All types of materials are suitable for something or other. There is an opportunity in everything; you just need to find the right way to use it. I have just started to note the wonder of materials of nature, like stones, minerals, wood, leather, fur and so on.

L: Being specialized in leather, it would be a cliché to say “leather and nothing else”. I love leather because it has a lot of opportunities when mixed with other technologies. At the same time, I love that it has been used from time immemorial, it is very human. It has a warm feeling to it. However, we experiment with other materials, too, that we are going to integrate into our work in the future.

Ki illetve kik a kedvenc tervezőitek?
Who are your favourie designers?

O: Designers? I don’t vote for anyone in the fashion industry; there are interesting, innovative and inspirational collections, however, the vast majority of them only prostitute themselves. Ops, this might be too strong, let me put it this way: they stimulate consumption.

L: Valóban nincs ilyen, nem is szívesen követem a divatházak, tervezők munkáit. Rám destruktív, kétségbeejtő hatással vannak. Orsival mindketten szívesebben figyeljük a kortárs képző- és alkalmazott művészeti "vívmányait", a világ modern természettudományos, filozófiai és pszichológiai fejlődését, amolyan laikus, de aktív érdeklődő szinten. Ezek inkább hatással vannak gondolkodásunkra a tervezésben.

L: Neither do I have a favourite designer; and I also don’t willingly follow the work of fashion houses and designers. They produce a destructive and desperate effect on me. Both Orsi and I are rather keen on observing the achievements of contemporary fine art and applied art, the modern scientific, philosophic and psychological development of the world on a non-professional but active level. These rather have an effect on our thinking in designing.

Mik a jövőre vonatkozó tervek?
What are your plans for the future?

L: It’s really difficult to tell. We only know what we don’t want to do. But at least we have this knowledge, a little amount of experience of what will happen if we leave the way our instincts tell us to follow. Since we don’t agree to the moral and values of the fashion world, we don’t want to join the queue where you need to deliver a new collection in every 3-4 months, just to stay exciting for customers. We, of course, have and hopefully will always have short term plans and goals. We are going to graduate soon and would like to make an introductory Mrs. Herskin collection that expresses our style sharply both for us and for the beholder. Furthermore, we have a workshop at Rumbach Sebestyén Street, which we would like to get into shape. We will see. we are not fanatic about creating ourselves in the fashion industry...

O: I, too, could list what we don’t want to do with the time at our hands for hours. Larisza formulated that very well. I thought we will have a look at what happens if we choose a different way than those in the fashion industry usually do, and then, we will see if it works or not and talk about our experiences. Hopefully we will enrich with interesting things, let them be negative or positive experiences.
